Crime Stoppers marks a record year and 35 years in PG!
The Prince George Crime Stoppers Association would like to invite you to come out and help celebrate
Crime Stoppers Month and the very successful year the program had in 2019! PG
Crime Stoppers had a record year of tips coming in to the anonymous program and
is celebrating 35 years in Prince George in 2020!
In 2019 the Prince George Crime Stoppers Program
received a record of 700 tips (up
from 586 in 2018) from YOU! Those tips
resulted in 14 arrests, 6 cases cleared
and 11 cash rewards approved. As well,
$1, 827, 361 worth of drugs was seized and $545,657 in cash was recovered! Here
are more of our impressive numbers:

In 2019, PGCS continued our partnership with Shred-it Mobile Shedding
Services for the public to shred their personal documents for a small donation. It was very popular and kept the shredding
trucks very busy! PG Crime Stoppers next
Shred It Event will be our Spring Shred-It Event on Saturday April 25st,
2020 at CN Centre Parking lot from 10am -2pm.
As part of Crime Stoppers Month, join us at one or all of these
community events to learn more about the program and to enter to WIN prizes!
This Saturday January 4h, we’ll be at CN Centre to cheer on the Prince George Cougars as they
battle the Everett Silvertips. Come find
us in Section Y on the concourse to win prizes from 99.3 The Drive and PG Crime
Stoppers.
On Friday January 17th, PG Crime Stoppers will be at the Spruce Kings
home game vs Langley at 7pm. Take part in our fun on ice contest and you could
score cool prizes! You can find us on the concourse as you enter The Rolling
Mix Concrete Arena.
Saturday January 25th, we’ll be at the Northern Sport Centre cheering on
the UNBC Timberwolves men’s and women’s basketball teams as they take on
Brandon University. Women tip off at 5 pm and the men at 7 pm. Take part in our Paper Airplane Toss at the
Men’s halftime to WIN Prizes!
The Board of Directors of Prince George Crime Stoppers Association would
like to thank the citizens of Prince George and surrounding areas for
continuing to provide vital information that has led to arrests and seizures in
2019!
The Board would also like to thank the hard working and dedicated
members of the RCMP in Prince George and neighbouring communities for
continuing to support this worthwhile program. Our annual event to appreciate our valued partners at the RCMP will be
Wednesday January 29th at 1:30pm at the RCMP detachment. PG Crime
Stoppers will award our “Officer of the Year” and “Watch of the Year” on that
day.

and providing information to a trained operator is still very popular. As an
increasingly popular alternative, you can submit a typed tip via our website at
www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca.
When providing tips, please
be as detailed as possible and remember we don't
want your name, just your information! All methods are completely anonymous!
As one of the 86
Crime Stopper programs throughout the country, Prince George Crime Stoppers is
a proud partnership of the local media, police and residents of BC's northern capital. Prince George Crime Stoppers is
a not-for-profit society run independently of the police by everyday citizens
like you! All
information received is anonymous and is provided to the police in the hopes it
will further investigations and lead to arrests, seizures and recovered
property.
